2. PROCEEDINGS

Before commencement of the Meeting, registration / verification process of all the Representatives of the Affiliated Member Units whose nominations were received in writing in Federation Secretariat / Chairman Election commission to attend the Meeting was completed. The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Muhammad Talha. Following the recitation, Ms. Najia Rasool, Secretary General, informed the President, POA Representative and the Chairman Election Commission that the house is in order and requested the President to formally commence the proceedings.

Col. Nabeel Ahmed Rana, President PTF, warmly welcomed all members and participants. He briefed the house on his continuous efforts to resolve the long-standing issues related to BTA. He further informed that elections for the remaining vacant posts of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation would be conducted during this election meeting.

The President apprised the house that elections for the three principal posts President, Secretary General and Secretary Finance were held on 1st January 2026 during the Executive and General Council Meetings of PTF with the unanimous consent of all stakeholders and minutes of both the meetings were circulated for any objection. He stated that if any individual still wishes to contest on said posts, they are welcome to do so. As no member expressed interest in re-election for the said posts, the house unanimously endorsed and ratified the decision taken in the elections held on 1st January 2026. Furthermore, the house unanimously passed the resolution in the favour and it was decided that the future election of Pakistan Taekwondo will be conducted after four years to be precise on 31 December 2029. The complete house agreed on this resolution.

The President then invited Mr. Amir Sabir, Chairman Election Commission, to initiate the election process for the remaining posts of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation.

The Chairman Election Commission briefed the house on the election procedure, stating that, in accordance with the Constitution of PTF, elections may be conducted through either balloting or show of hands. Considering that the meeting was being held in a hybrid mode (Physical & Zoom), it was proposed that the elections be conducted through the show of hands method. The house unanimously agreed to this procedure.

The Chairman Election Commission informed the house that one candidate was required for the post of Senior Vice President; however, two nominations had been received, namely Mr. Murtaza Hassan Bangash (KPK) and Mr. Syed Aoun Abbas (HEC). Subsequently, Mr. Syed Aoun Abbas withdrew his nomination for the post of Senior Vice President and expressed his intention to contest the election for the post of Vice President. A written application to this effect was submitted to the Chairman Election Commission which is duly approved by the Election Commission and the complete house.

Furthermore, the Chairman informed the house that six nominations, including one female candidate, had been received for the post of Vice President, whereas five posts of Vice President were available. The representative of Pakistan Railways, who was also a candidate for the post of Vice President, voluntarily withdrew his nomination and submitted a written application to the Chairman Election Commission and will contest as Executive Member. However, on the request of Mr Aoun Abbas that in next Executive and General Council the approval for his new post may be created as Deputy Secretary and in that he should be elected as Deputy Secretary of the federation. The entire house appreciated this act of Mr Aoun and Mr Qayyum Changezi and promised to do it in the next meetings.

The Chairman Election Commission then announced that elections would be held for the following remaining posts of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation for the next four-year term ending on 31 December 2029:
